A charming Art Deco era engagement ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gem is a 1/3 carat old European cut diamond (G/H, VS2). This soulful, hand-cut diamond is bead-set into a squarish, octagonal seat, where it is flanked by a pair of single cut diamonds that rest, bead-set, in "on-point" squares. A further pair of single cut diamonds embellish the ring's gallery, to the north and south, where they are nested in petal-shaped seats— astride these diamonds, elegant pairs of stylized wingshave been delicatelyhand-pierced. A crisply engraved pattern of wheat occupies the negative space between these smaller seats, which are posted at the cardinal directions, around the primary diamond. The wheat pattern is continued across the ring's shoulders and shank. Edges and bezel edges are finished with a fine milgrain. This is alovely, crisp example of Art Deco era engraving and filigree work coming together. We especially love the compact nature of this ring, thesecret wings, and the many small details that are revealed upon close inspection! This is low-profile and easy-wearing
— it would make an outstanding engagement ring. Marked for purity.
